Pedro Sanchez-Villa serves as the Director of the Wyatt League, leveraging over a decade of extensive experience in competitive debate, coaching, and tournament operations.
Pedro was introduced to debate during his sophomore year at Trinity High School, and since then, he has remained intricately connected to Jefferson County's debate scene, assuming judging roles as he pursued his undergraduate at the University of Louisville. Subsequently, Pedro was appointed as the Assistant Coach at Trinity High School, where his dedication and commitment were recognized when he was honored as the National Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) in his inaugural year. His notable achievement stemmed from his unwavering commitment to providing a platform for underrepresented student voices to be heard.
With a rich background in fundraising, networking, and community-building, Pedro brings a diverse skill set to his role as League Director.
